Feral Conservatives Sweep 3 Awards for Veer Mag 2016 Posted 13 Feb 2017

Dazeases has premiered her first single, "Plum" on her new EP, Local Slut on Big Shot Mag.
"‘Plum’ is about having been in a hetero/cis-passing relationship, where maybe both partners held their tongues about themselves in regards to their sexual orientation and gender identity, I wanted to chance to be honest about myself and also to address what I never asked of my ex." she says of the track.
Described as "A provocateur who injects heartfelt, deeply personal feelings into her songs," Dazeases a.k.a. London Perry will include a counterpart track as a bonus on her EP exclusively through the "Hatched" subscription series.

Manatree have released the official video for their song "Fat Jackson" from their self titled record, which came out last summer on Egghunt. The video is directed by Mitchell Craft, who described the concept to RVA Magazine "I was imagining a lot of colors and movement going on, so I involved that with the musicians themselves.”
The band sought to work with Craft after drummer Alex Elder reconnected with him after not seeing each other since elementary school, and bassist Noma Illmensee started going to shows at his DIY spot.
The concept for the band was to let an artist they admired create a video inspired by what the song meant to them, rather than seek lyrical inspiration or head up the project themselves, as they had done in more collaboration with Mikan Media for their previous video for "Animal Quietlies."

Camp Howard have had a busy year to say the least, but on top of all their accolades, they're starting 2017 in style. They recently finished tracking their latest EP at Montrose Studios (run by Adrian Olsen of AVERS) to be released in spring, 2017 as part of HATCHED, and will hit the road in January. Their tour will take them through the south east of the United States, and dates will be posted shortly.
Additionally, they were named BEST MUSIC OF 2016 by RVA Magazine:
"2016 might belong to Camp Howard in terms of crafting one of the strongest local releases of the year.... The band is already working towards a follow-up for 2017 and it's definitely something to keep an eye out for." --Shannon Cleary

Its not everyday a label like EggHunt gets to announce 4 new artists added to its roster. In fact, November 28th had been a long time planning, and with much excitement & anticipation. To give credit where credit is due, our very own Landis Wine of White Laces initially proposed the idea to team EggHunt for a "tape series." Although, we really liked the concept of a series of tape releases, we also wanted to make a series that gave fans more for their money and widened the spectrum on what an indie rock subscription series could be. Hence, Hatched was born and we started looking for 4 new artists to sign back in the late spring of 2016. After a long search for the right bands, we felt super lucky to have Dazeases, Camp Howard, Big Baby & Doll Baby all sign to EggHunt for the series. Through alot of brainstorming and talking with the bands, each artist picked out certain bonus items they wanted to deliver to subscribers throughout the process: custom lapel pins, limited edition lath cut 45 rpm, custom t-shirts & special usb drive with exclusive content. The idea was fresh and exciting. This tape series was taking on a new energy not seen before. After months of prep work, we have just announced sign ups for the Hatched series, which you can go here to subscribe: www.hatchedrva.com. Join us on an exciting journey as we roll out this new series in 2017!
September 30th was a date that Landis Wine and his fellow White Laces were looking forward to for a long time. The 3rd full length, No Floor from White Laces took two long years to complete. The band has openly stated that it was a time of transition in which old modes of writing gave way to experimenting with electronic beats and future-indie sounds. Read an in depth article from Style Weekly in which the band discusses the challenges they faced during the writing of the new album, and why sometimes digging deep can yield unexpected but new and exciting results. WHITE LACES "SICK OF SUMMER"
This Summer at EggHunt there has been plenty of reasons to celebrate. White Laces (RVA) have recently signed an comprehensive license deal with EggHunt Records that includes all White Laces releases, even their 2011 self titled EP. We wanted to do something special to commemorate the occasion, so our in-house engineer & co-founder, Greg Gendron went back and remastered the entire White Laces debut EP, and then we have added three bonus tracks that were previously only available on various vinyl releases. The result is "Sick of Summer" a vintage but totally fresh sounding White Laces CT/digital release that drops on August 26th. You can pre order the release by clicking HERE.
"Below is the video for their recent single, “Vampire.” The video, featuring a man in a motorcycle helmet and some serious butt-emphasizing jorts dancing wildly à la that Madeon video (see, it was a relevant intro), wonderfully captures the light-hearted vibe of the song. “Vampire” pleads for a lighter life, and the video will have you dancing to that plea." -NOISEY
